Pam Olver
I have been passionate about cast glass for more some eight years. As a sculptor who has worked with most natural materials including copper, wood, ceramics, stone and silk, I find combining glass with other materials an exciting challenge, which I relish .
The aspect of marrying glass with stone or copper, making the mixed media interact and work together is enticing and stimulating. My focus when making work is to engage the viewer visually and interactively.
"Tulips" originated as a mass planting of 300, which was presented in a 2x1m block, and has been specifically made to be placed in the garden. They are also suitable in small groups in pots, or singly on a wall, positioned by clips.
